Valley of Stones is a good place to live, if you happen to be a basilisk.

Wywern - check

Giant - check

Lots of noobs - check

Waiting for a dragon now

D&D basilisk fanart, it's probably my favorite D&D creature. They just relax, enjoy the sun and now and then petrify whatever they want. Until there's a warrior of high level with the right potion or spell that is.

4 or 5 hours, MyPaint

Do you like basilisks? I would actually like to play as one, they have intelligence of 3 though :(

Very nice, I enjoy the atmosphere change, this one seems a bit different then your others-- looks like a dangerous world frought with war, but still beautiful in a way

4-5 hours, my lord... how do you do it? It's time manipulation isn't it?

Joking aside, I love your environment here I like the muted color palette and the atmospheric perspective and the way you subtly make things gradually blur as they go off into the distance. And I think I see that dragon you're waiting for hidden in 2/3rd point left hand side, or is that a wyvern? Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Hehe, it's supposed to be that petrified wyvern, I guess I made him too big :D Thanks for comment man.

No problem, I plan to look over your entire account over the weekend when I have more time to really pour over art.

Where do you get the inspiration for these environments? Great job on this one as usual! I think it's wonderful that you're making more of a distinction between the background and foreground because it really adds a 3d effect/dimension to your pieces.

I want that basilisk for a pet.

What do you mean inspiration? I just like doing it I guess. Also I figured if I do one almost every day I should get somewhat good at it. You don't see me painting anything but fantasy environments because I don't think I'd be enjoying it quite as much. I cannot imagine painting someone's face for 10 hours for instance, story behind it just isn't interesting for me. Although I would be willing to do it if it served some purpose.

Glad you like it and thanks for feedback, the basilisk is all yours, take him to town :D

Haha, I guess I understand. I actually don't pay much attention to faces. Bodies and movements are more interesting to me so I like to draw bodies more than the actual faces or costumes. I wonder if it's a little bit of an autistic streak?

I asked about the inspiration since I need to work on environments more. It's something that's required for drawing comics.

Body language is definitely interesting.

Well I like your environments, that room with the girl on a a bed is well done, colors and perspective, and that other fantasy one, that cave with water, looks good too although it's simple, which is a plus for a comics work. I don't think you need to be able to paint detailed environments for comics work, just readable enough and cool enough to support the story.
